Activity Details
The East End Kayaking Excursion is a three hour guided trip that starts at Haulover Bay, one of the quietest and most scenic spots on St. John. This outing is made for families, beginners, and anyone who wants to explore calm water and beautiful coastal scenery at an easy pace.
You will begin by kayaking across the turquoise water of Round Bay and Haulover Bay. The conditions here are usually gentle which makes it a comfortable paddle for most ages. Along the way you can look down into clear water and watch for fish, rays, and turtles.
Next comes a guided snorkel at Pelican Rock or Hidden Reef. These reefs are known for healthy coral, colorful fish, and bright water visibility. Your guide will help with gear, point out marine life, and keep the experience accessible for beginners.
After snorkeling, you will paddle along the Long Point Peninsula where turtles often graze in shallow seagrass beds. It is a peaceful area with wide open views and plenty to look at as you move along the shoreline.
The trip ends with a short nature stroll to a lookout above the north side of St. John. From here you get sweeping views of Sir Francis Drake Channel, Tortola, and several nearby cays. It is a simple but memorable finish before returning to Haulover Bay.
Group sizes are kept small with a maximum of ten kayakers which helps the tour stay personal and easy to manage. All gear is included and ages six and up are welcome.
