Activity Details
The Scenic Horseback Ride at Carolina Corral in Coral Bay is a one-hour guided trail ride that lets you experience St. John from the saddle. You begin at the Carolina Corral, a working corral that cares for rescued and adopted horses along with other animals. From there you head out with an experienced guide along paths that follow the shoreline and weave into the hills above Coral Bay.
Much of the route runs along and near the water, giving you open views of Coral Bay and surrounding hills, and on some sections you’ll get picture stops on rocky spots or shallow sandy patches. This ride is relaxed and paced so riders can enjoy the scenery while they steer and connect with their horse. Many visitors mention the friendly nature of the horses and the personal, small-group feel of the experience.
The Carolina Corral is known for its welcoming atmosphere and local charm, and this trail ride is a great way to add a different land-based adventure to your St. John itinerary. Riders often notice views of Hurricane Hole and neighboring islands from higher trail sections.
