Activity Details
The Jost Van Dyke Sail is an 8 hour day on the water that starts with baked breakfast breads and fresh fruit as you cruise along St. John’s north shore. The first stop is a snorkel site chosen for calm water and clear views. Snorkel gear and instruction are included, so beginners can jump in with confidence.
After snorkeling, the crew hoists the sails and lets the tradewinds carry you toward the British Virgin Islands. The first stop is Great Harbor on Jost Van Dyke. While the crew checks everyone in with BVI Immigration, you can wander the bay, shop, or stop into Foxy’s gift shop which is one of the most well known in the islands.
Next, the boat heads around the corner to White Bay. If conditions allow, you can swim or wade to shore and head straight to the Soggy Dollar Bar to try their original Painkiller. There are hammocks, beach chairs, small shops, and plenty of room to relax. You can buy lunch at one of the beach restaurants or just enjoy the sand and water. White Bay is often ranked among the top beaches in the Caribbean and it is easy to see why.
Once everyone is back on board, you will settle in for a relaxing sail back toward the USVI. The day ends at an easy pace with great water views and the open bar available after snorkeling.
This tour requires at least 15 guests to run and is a good fit for families, small groups, and anyone who wants a simple and fun day in the BVI.
