Activity Details

The Night Dive with Low Key Watersports gives certified divers a chance to see St. John’s reefs in a completely different light - literally. The trip leaves just before sunset so you start on the water as dusk falls, giving you a beautiful boat ride and a sunset view before the dive.

Once the sun sets, you plunge into night: your dive light reveals a reef teeming with creatures that only come out after dark: lobsters, octopus, rays, nocturnal fish, and glowing plankton. The underwater world transforms when day ends and night creatures emerge.

This is a one-tank dive, and you’re usually back around 8:00 PM (depending on season). The dive is guided by experienced instructors who give a full briefing, help with gear, and make sure everyone stays safe and comfortable, even if they’ve never done a night dive before.

Night diving brings a whole new side of marine life, and quieter, more intimate conditions underwater. It’s great for certified divers who want to try something different, and for anyone who loves marine biology or underwater photography at low light.
