Activity Details

The East End Paddle Excursion is a three hour guided trip that starts at Haulover Bay on St. John’s far East End. You can choose to go by kayak or paddleboard, and both options work well for beginners or experienced paddlers. The water here is calm and clear, which makes it a great place to start.

From Haulover, you will paddle across the turquoise water of Round Bay toward Pelican Rock or Hidden Reef. These spots are known for healthy coral, colorful fish, and bright water visibility. Your guide leads a snorkel tour, helps you with gear, and points out marine life along the reef.

After snorkeling, you will glide over turtle grazing beds along the Long Point Peninsula. This area is peaceful with wide open views, and it is common to see turtles rising for air nearby. On clear days, you can also spot Norman Island in the distance.

The trip wraps up with a short nature walk to the north side of St. John. From this lookout, you get wide views of Sir Francis Drake Channel, Tortola, and the surrounding cays. It is a simple but really nice way to finish the excursion before heading back to Haulover Bay.

This experience is good for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for a quiet, nature-focused outing. Ages four and up are welcome, and all gear is included.
