Snorkeling & Hiking at Salt Pond Bay

Salt Pond is known for excellent snorkeling around a rock outcropping in the center of the bay.. The reef hosts coral and abundant fish. Hiking trails to Drunk Bay and Ram Head begin here; Ram Head’s summit offers panoramic views of the Caribbean. Because the area is exposed, bring water and sturdy shoes and consider starting early.

Getting to Salt Pond Bay

Drive Route 107 south from Coral Bay. Look for a sign marking the parking area. From the lot, a ¼‑mile trail leads down to the beach. Arrive early to secure parking and avoid hiking in the midday heat.

Tips for Visiting Salt Pond Bay

  • Arrive Before 9:30 a.m.: Parking is limited and fills quickly.
